Lodge & Beyond

A Sneak Peek into Every Day’s Magic and Wild Adventures

by Bracwell’s Alpine Wilderness Adventures Photography

“Moving to Tatlayoko deepened my love for photography in a way I never expected. It’s the scenery, the animals, the people, and the lodge itself that I can’t stop capturing — the history in these old buildings full of character, the nature around us shifting with every day and every season. The friendly faces , the ones we’ve known for years and the new guests we’re just meeting. People who make this place whole. Capturing how things are built, fixed, and cared for over time is rewarding. Every corner of this place tells a story, and I just want to hold onto the moments that make it ours.”

"May posterity still know the trout-filled stream that smiles, the moose and gentle doe, and timber-tempered aisles."

— P.H. Moore

“Nature thrills your eyes, and we thrill your taste buds.”

— Aaron Bracewell

The Bracewell Lodge, built in the 1980s, was crafted to be a true mountain home. Every log and board was cut from trees on the property and prepared by Alf Bracewell in our sawmill, giving the lodge a timeless, handcrafted character. Sturdy, rustic, and full of warmth, it’s a place that invites you to relax, unwind, and feel the mountains around you.

“The wild is not ours to tame.”
